Hello all,

I am a newbie in this field. I have a Windows vista installed PC. I would like to install Proxmox into this PC, without altering my current windows partition. Is it possible. As far as i can see ( in here ) proxmox installs all by itself, which might overwrite my Vista installation.

Thanking you,
Rajesh

If you install Proxmox VE, all your data is lost! But you can install Proxmox VE on your vista as a guest system using vmware or virtual box.

in this case you can only try and evaluate the container visualization part, KVM is not possible.

Hello,

Thank you tom for the quick reply. But I wish such a feature would be nice ,if it can be added with future products of Proxmox.

Thank you,
Rajesh
