Hello all

First of all: I'm new to Proxmox.

I've started the installation of version 6.3 from a USB and all goes well until it reaches the extracting of pve-qemu-kvm-.... (around 70%) and then the pc just restarts without any error message.

What I've tried already:

  • flash the iso to another USB
  • install on another HD (SSD)
  • run in debug mode
  • use version 6.2 iso 6.3
Does anybody have an idea what could be the cause of this?

Thx!

That's the issue: I don't get any errors at all. The extraction of pve-qemu-kvm-.... shows for 2 seconds and then the whole system reboots.

I just use an old pc:
  • GA-h55m-ud2h motherboard
  • RAM 32GB Kingston HyperX Fury black HX316C10FB/8
  • Multiple HD, installation is done on a new Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SSD
The only thing that I notice is that it takes a while before an Ip address can be obtained through DHCP. When I use the debug mode and wait long enough, then it finally gets the address and I can restart the installation through the wizard (xinit). But the same thing happens: reboot when extracting pve-qemu-kvm-....
