proxmox hostname change

i wanted to change my proxmox server hostname from pve to proxmox but when i changed the /etc/hosts and /etc/hostname and rebooted it, the web gui does not start and when i do systemctl status pve-cluster it says:

Please can you post /etc/hosts and /etc/hostname - else its hard to see whats wrong ...
