Proxmox Host losing networking

Ive got a random issue. Im quite new to PVE and am running a PVE host with 3 VM's, one of wich is a LCX container, and one had a dedicated nic passed through for nrtworking (ie my firewall). After running for a couple of days the host wil just loose all connection to the outside world, and thus the VM's sharing the nic aswell. A reboot wil always fix this. Ive already confirmed that this is not an IP conflict as the VM's have static IP's assigned, and the host is outside of my DHCP range on the firewall. Ive also checked the logs and cant find anything out of place. I can see when my nas goes offline, and that is when the netwok drops out, but there is nothing out of place before that. I have aslo tried creating a second interface on a different nic for the VM's and having a dedicated interface for the host, but after a few minutes this interface loses connection, so i've switched back to only using one interface. Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be the cause?

so so far ive installed pve and updated to the newest version before creating any vm's. the system is stable for about a week and then it loses conectivity, thats the wierd part to me. i would have thought if it was driver related that it would be losing connectivity right away. as mentioned i also have a second nic, but once i add that as a bridge, the vm connected to it loses connectivity almost immediately
