Proxmox Host im RAID1 / BTRFS oder ZFS?

Hi,

ich möchte einen neuen Proxmox Server aufsetzen. Ich denke einen RAID1 nvme macht dabei sinn.
Auf den 2x 1TB Raid1 nvmes sollen auch VM's laufen, sowie volumes beinhalten.

Jetzt die alles Entscheidente Frage,

ZFS oder bereits jetzt auf BTRFS setzen?
Ich habe 32GB RAM. Deduplication werde ich nicht nutzen.

Was haltet ihr davon?
 
Für ZFS sind Enterprise grade SSDs empfohlen, da hast du mit M.2 nicht gerade viel Auswahl wenn du keinen M.2 zu U.2 Adapter benutzt. Und standardmäßig wird sich ZFS bis 50% deines RAM genehmigen, kann man aber von 16GB auf 4GB oder so reduzieren, wenn es nur bei den 2x 1TB bleibt.

Vielen Dank für die Antwort, ist mir soweit bekannt.
Aber ich wäre interessiert an etwas detaillierteren Infos. :D Zum Beispiel ob es aktuell Known Issues gibt, oder PVE-Funktionen die (noch) nicht in Verbindung mit BTRFS funktionieren oder noch nicht so funktionieren wie sie sollen und so weiter. Also all die Sachen, die man vor der Wahl zu BTRFS als Root und/oder VM/LXC-Storage wissen/bedenken sollte. :)
 
Schon mal Software Raid1 mit XFS versucht?
Vorteil: Klaut dir nicht das Memory wie ZFS und kommt nich aus dem Hause Oracle. XFS ist field-proven seit 1993 (damals noch IRIX).
