Hi Guys,

could you kindly walk me through(in details) the steps that I need to perform in order to create a highly available proxmox cluster with 2 or 3 nodes in which I'll be using a dedicated shared NFS(truenas) for storing the VMs disk instead of local node storage.

Thanks in advance for your time! :)

So install truenas on separate node and link it with proxmox ve as shared storage. Don't forget about single point of failure,
so truenas should be replicated to another truenas

in regards to the NFS being single point of failure what would you advise me to do? Maybe use CEPH for hosting the VMs in a combination with the NFS where to have backups of them? Or maybe use the NFS for hosting the VMs and use my 2 TB Nvme on cluster node 1 for backups of the VMs in case my NFS dies to have backup? Which one would you advise me to use...?

For home - hosts with local storages and zfs cross-replications + pbs. No nfs , ceph, blockbridge, etc..
