Hi guys,

I have 5 servers that i want to set up as proxmox VM hosts... is it possible to cluster all 5 together, and how will they work? would they cluster together to work as one physical VM host or will they work as 5 separate VM hosts that work together?

I was wondering if i would be able to have a single VM machine that utilises the resources from all the machines in the cluster OR will the VM be limited to the resources on the box it is configured to run from? Is there a way to do this?

I was planning on running all the VM from a separate iSCSI SAN probably NexentaStor or FreeNAS and recommendations?

Cheers

Thanks - do you know if its possible to install PVE on top of an SSI :D - This might be a plan for an alternate system in the future that i have been working on BUT not for the system i'm currently planning... how easy is it to move a VM across the nodes?

From looking at the system, i basically add the extra servers as nodes the same as the secondary one like in the video?

Yes. You can move VMs to other nodes easily as long as they use some kind of shared storage.

i'm running 10 servers with highend nexentastor array (dual node ha-cluster) with direct iscsi luns (clone/snapshots nexenta side), and it's working greeaat :)

Would be interested in seeing how you ahve that set up - do you have any diagrams?
