Hi guys!
i Have 3 machines with proxmox 4.4, 1 i5 Destktop, i7 Destktop and HP proliant G7 DL360
im testing proxmox HA and HP proliants, i Have 1 server HP Proliant G7 with asr disabled, and hp-asrd daemon disabled too, hpwdt blacklisted.

i tried test HA and i did #service watchdog-mux stop on i5 and i7 (nothing happened) but when i run the command on HP, hp resets on 3seconds.

Can you help me? i had to disable HA on my production servers by this problem with reboot :S

Thanks !

Update2 :
added on /etc/grub/default
#GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet nmi_watchdog=0"
ASR disabled. but "hp-asrd" daemon is running. (i didn´t stop) but it´s ok.
testing hpwdt.

i added on /etc/default/pve-ha-manager
#WATCHDOG_MODULE=hpwdt.

when i test HA, the machine doesn´t reboot. but when i do:

# service watchdog-mux status (is dead/inactive)

Can you help me please? Is this the right way?

thanks!

Yes, with hp it is a little bit tricky. The HP watchdog does not work, it is very buggy. The only way to disable the kernelmodul is to disable ASR in the BIOS. Also it is not possible to use the intel watchdog on the Motherboard. It is disabled by hp. The only way is to work with the softdog. (tested today). Really bad ;(

No problems with actually Dell Hardware. We use the INTEL watchdog with dell servers.
