I'm having some odd issues with my Linux (Arch & Debian) VMs since upgrading from PVE 7.0 to 7.1

I'd like to roll back to 7.0 if possible.

My VMs have had backups and snapshots taken after the upgrade to 7.1 that I'd like to keep.

Is my best bet just to re-install Proxmox on 7.0 and if so, can I still use the backups from 7.1?

Have you tried booting an older kernel (latest 5.11 version)?

What are the issues you're having? Could you provide some details?

Hey, sure

I'm having the VM's intermittently hang. I re-installed Proxmox 7.0 with ZFS but don't believe I noticed any issues until upgrading to 7.1.

Even simple things like SSH to the VM will hang and then eventual work (also happens mid-session). Plex seems to be quite affected as well - more buffering than usual.

I tried creating a Plex VM on my Desktop (hyper-V) and it did not have the issue so I don't believe it to be network related.

I'm showing two kernels available - how do I boot to the older one?

root@proxmox:~# pve-efiboot-tool kernel list
Manually selected kernels:
None.

Automatically selected kernels:
5.11.22-7-pve
5.13.19-1-pve

Thanks for the support.

At the beginning of the boot you should see the bootloader. There you can select the older kernel.

Could it be that there's a duplicate IP or MAC address in your network?

Is there a way to do it headless? If not, no problem I will dig out a keyboard and screen.

There should not be any duplicate MAC or IP address, good question.
