I want to setup Proxmox Cluster without shared storage so that I can easily manage creation of VMs through WHMCS. I am not looking for any HA capability, but live migration should be possible. I want to know if I can create a Proxmox Cluster without any shared storage. Also, I would like to know if it is possible to add all existing nodes in Cluster. The existing nodes are all in production but with different Proxmox versions.

Hi,

Live migration can be done with local storage migration.
Ha with local disks is working but with limitations.
- ZFS is needed
- You can loos data.
The replica is an asynchrony replication, so in the worst, you loos the date of the time from the replication interval.
- ZFS with replica does not provide Live migration.

Also, I would like to know if it is possible to add all existing nodes in Cluster.
Yes, but to join a cluster it is not allowed to have a guest on the node.
You can workaround this limitation if you copy the guest config. And after joining move it back.
If you have VMID overlapping you must fix it self.

The existing nodes are all in production but with different Proxmox versions.
If they have the same major release this is no problem.
So PVE 6.X is compatible.
