aaron Proxmox Staff Member Staff member Jun 3, 2019 4,309 1,118 218 Jan 9, 2024 #2 Proxmox VE supports EC pools for a while now, see the docs: https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/pve-admin-guide.html#pve_ceph_ec_pools You can use them for VM and container disk images. But be aware that a regular replicated pool will also be created as it is needed to store the metadata for RBD disk images.

It will not get large, especially compared to the EC pool which contains the actual data.
