Proxmox can't Backup the VM's

Hey everyone,

we have a problem with our Backups... If added a scheduled backup for the VM's on a dedicated iSCSI Storage.
So the storage is fine, but the Server can't backup the VM's. And theres just the this Error:

ERROR: can't aquire lock '/var/run/vzdump.lock' - got timeout
[/SIZE][/FONT]

But the Backup had worked for 2 weeks. We've changed nothing on the systems (proxmox and storage). Is this a bug or just a misconfiguration?

Hey Dietmar,

i've checked with ps -el the host and there are two vzdump processes, but everytime I kill them, they revive instant... And on the GUI there's no running backup process?

try to kill with option -9

# kill -9 <PID>

Hey Dietmar,

after a while the processes died, and the next backup worked as usual!
Maybe a short system hangtime
