Proxmox Backup virtualised

Hello , I have attempted to install the backup server on proxmox as i have a desire to connect it to remote storage.
Eventually i would like to move it to baremetal but would like to test first.

Install fails similar to installing proxmox in a vm i.e checking for vt extensions.

Any hints to install

Hello!
I have similar configuration. Installation is straightforward.
PBS installed on VM inside Proxmox VE, backing up same VE to a iSCSI disk in remote location.
iSCSI imported in VE with LVM on top, LV passed to PBS VM and formatted as ZFS.
It works, but not fast due to latency, and is subject to network-related issues.

I would eventually move to designated RPI4 box with DAS for backing up.

I'm also interested in this. We already have a dedicated NAS and would instead install PBS in a VM and mount the NFS as the datastore for the backups. It's seems to work fine according to some people

Hi,

This error is happend because on your BIOS server is not enabled the Virtualisation Option (also known as Intel VT or AMD-V). In a VM you can use this info(nested virtualisation):
