Hello everybody,
What is the best method to migrate old backup data from external drive to new external or internal drive for backups?
For example, I have datastore01 on an ageing drive.
I want to add a new drive and migrate the datastore01 to datastore02 and continue backups from there.
Somewhere I read to add a remote localhost and then sync to datastore02 from datastore01. Is that the best method so that I can still keep backing up to datastore01 in the meantime?
I would have though to use rsync at least in the past, but some people mentioned that if I used a sync method than I could continue to use the server.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

Jup, that will work.
