[SOLVED] Proxmox backup : no email report

Hello,

1) From the proxmox hypervisor I have set up the VM backups. After the backup I have to receive a report by email.
I did not set up postfix using authentication because I did not found a proxmox document about that.

2) I did not receive the test email by typing this command , whichg was executed without error and without trace in syslog

echo "Test mail from postfix" | mail -s "Test Postfix" mymail@mail.com

3) I don't receive the email of the backup report as per the postfix/smtp logs below.

Does anyone have an idea about my problem ?
How to configure the mail configuration ?

You need to setup postfix yourself so that PVE can use it to send emails.
Best would be to search for a debian/ubuntu tutorial on how to setup postfix as an smtp relay for your SMTP server provider.

Basically each provider requires another config so there is no tutorial that works for everything.

i send email over gmx and it works !

I was able to setup postfix for my SMTP provider ( TLS:465) with the documentation you provided
