all my backups are failing every-time with error [Backup of VM 104 failed - VM 104 qmp command 'cont' failed - got timeout] has anyone here got a idea of whats going on please, thanks john

can you post a bit more information? e.g. which versions you use, the vm config, the task log, maybe part of the syslog, etc.
