this is unfortunate because it's my first "hello world" attempt,
pretty much follow the example in the docs, try a file level back up from the command line,
using the client.
I am backing up "root", expecting to see it skip some mount points etc...
./proxmox-backup-client backup root.pxar:/ --repository < my pbs hostname >:backup_data
and the command seems to be in an infinite loop
11 GB is about what I would expect but it keeps going and going...
I really don't want to manually kill it, I will be sad,
it will leave me with a very bad first impression of this backup tool I am so excited to use,
have spent a couple days going deep into the awesome documentation etc.
I'll be thinking "can I trust this?"
this client is the statically linked client, I pulled it from a Debian machine with just the "client only" repo/apt file.
apt installed it, the static linked version, and copied the binary to my/this Rocky 8 host (most of my stuff is RH/Rocky/dnf based)
oh wait it did finish eventually....
so, how are we getting these huge "processed" numbers ??
hmm, need to investigate but if anyone has a quick clue that would be awesome
