proxmox-backup-client: Recursive Backup?

Hi,

I couldn't find information on the documentation page on how to recursively backup folders using proxmox-backup-client.

I am using the following command:

proxmox-backup-client backup test.pxar:/tank-300g/test/smb/ --repository X.X.X.X:pool

Got a test installation with the latest pve and pbs running (great piece of work, both).

This works for all files in /tank-300g/test/smb/ whereas folders and recursively stored files are missing. Help!

if I read the very new Documentation right: https://pbs.proxmox.com/docs/backup-client.html
under the headline: "Creating Backups"
...
"and then uploads a file archive named root.pxar containing all the files in the / directory."
...
have a look there, if your syntax is the same as described
Do you work with mount points? Then read the:
"Caution
...
Please note that the proxmox-backup-client does not automatically include mount points.
..."

Thanks, got it solved.

I missed that <...>/smb/ is actually a mounted path to a LXC container ... so my mistake, it's in the documentation.

Works fine now.

Strangely, I do not see a file list of the backupped files but only the files of the actual backup <NAME>.pxar, the catalog.* and the index.* file within the *.json.blob.

Is this as it is intended to be? I expected a long list of files that are actually inside the *.pxar.
