Proxmox as Wireguard client

Hello,

I have a Proxmox installation within my corporate network, which is reachable at the address 192.168.1.111:8006.
Within the LAN, there are no issues, but I can't access it from outside because company policies don't allow me to open port 8006 or set up port forwarding.

I'm also using a Wireguard network with a remote server, and I think a solution might be to put Proxmox under the Wireguard network as a client, allowing me to access it by connecting to the VPN.

Do you think this is possible?
I've found many guides on setting up Wireguard as a server but not as a client.

Thank you!

Alessandro

why wouldn't it work ?
pve is a ~Debian server with a custom Ubuntu kernel.

pve 8006 port listen on all network interface.
it's even the recommended way.

All my pve is a Openvpn client.
don't forget to test if corporate network allow wireguard, as it use udp.

of course wireguard client configuration is out of scope of the Proxmox forum.

Thank you, I'll try!
I understand that your sometimes need to work around limitations, but does you manager approve of you making Proxmox accessible from the outside world? Just because it's technically possible does not mean it complies with company policy and legal obligations (literally or in spirit).
