Proxmox and Novell Groupwise (what ports to use, and where ?

Hi everybody happy new year :mrgreen:

I have a problem setting proxmox up whit a Groupwise mail server.

I have proxmox 2.0 and groupwise 6.5 on the same LAN.

MY problem is to find out of, what port to use on proxmox and on Groupwise.

Does anyone have any experiense whit proxmox and Groupwise ??

In the proxmox manual it stands: external port = 25
and internal port = 26

Another place some article says:
"Proxmox is listening on port 25 for incomming and port 26 for outgoing e-mails.


what unit on my lan need to have port 25 and what unit need port 26 ?

hi,

The smtp communication should be always the same, regardless groupwise or exchange or notes or linux mailserver.

to debug smtp port configuration you can use

telnet "hostname/Ip" 25 (or 26)

to check if its working.
please check the adminguide on our website for configuration issues.
