I am just getting into Proxmox and I have a Synology and I would like to run my Windows VM's on the synology . I have lots of storage on the synology and the VM's don't have to be fast, so speed is not really a concern. I wanted to see if I should be using iSCSI or something else. I don't have a second node at the moment but maybe in the future. I have one node running a Lenovo Tiny and a second node running on a Dell 5675 (16 x AMD Ryzen 7 1700X Eight-Core Processor (1 Socket) with 32 gb memory.
So I would like to store and run all VM's on the synology (DS1621+) but I am still learning the networking on Proxmox, I have used HyperV for many years and have a lot of knowledge on the Microsoft side but no knowledge on the Linux / Proxmox side.
So if anyone has any ideas or able to point me in the right direction, that would be GREAT.

I would you not recommend to use iSCSI with Synology - this is buggy - better use NFS. ITs long time ago i made bad experience with it, but because of the slow package updates in the synology cosmos go with NFS. ITs stable and more flexible.
According Network on Proxmox, i like to say it's not as difficult as you think. Use the proxmox doku and you are ready to go.
