Hello,

I'm planning to buy for the company where I work in a couple of old (but still working) HP DL380, one G6 and the other G7.
At present I'm running Proxmox VE 8.2 on a standard PC, but I would like to switch to something serious, and add more VM to this.
I've read that could be problem installing/running proxmox on gen6 and gen7.
I would like to use ZFS, so I need to put the HP controller in HBA mode I suppose. Don't know if is feasible.
I don't have those server right now so I'm just investigating here for opinions to prevent buying something wrong.

Just as an info or warning as (dl380 etc) g6, g7 and g8 are no more RHEL8 certified, so I would not wondering if you get any driver/kernel problems in the near future when you purchase those old types of hardware and then again do all the work again after moving then to other hw again.
