Proxmox 8.2.7 with Ceph Quincy instead of Reef. Is this normal?

I upgraded to Proxmox 8.2 enterprise in the spring. Now I would like to install Ceph but in the repository the ceph.list still points to ceph-quincy.
Is this normal?
Why after several updates since upgrading to version 8.2 enterprise my ceph.list repository was not automatically changed to point to ceph-Reef?
Is there a particular reason for this such as version stability or a problem with the update?

Do you have an idea?

Hi,

yes, this is intended. Ceph major version upgrades must be done explicitly, as stated in our Upgrade from 7 to 8 guide - since these upgrades are not trivial.

For this reason, we also provide a separate, dedicated Ceph Quincy to Reef guide.
