Proxmox 7 to 8 upgrade with virtualized internet router

Hi,

according to this official guide (https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Upgrade_from_7_to_8) all the vms should be migrated to another host or stopped before the upgrade.
What if I have a single host with my internet router as a virtual machine?

Is there a solution?

Same here. Just keep it running, upgrade and reboot. I had no issue with this method so far (6>7 and 7>8).

I'm in the same position, I was planning to keep the router vm running until apt has completed downloading packages.
