Hi!

I'm not sure this forum is the right place to post, but I don't find any fitting one.

I have Proxmox 7.2.4, OpenMediavault 6.0.27-1 under Linux kernel linux-image-5.16.0-0.bpo.4-amd64. All updates are done at the time of this post.
I get a strange problem, seemingly linked to the kernel. My post on Openmediavault forum contains the details.
Sum up:
The lernel raised the following error when trying to write on a samba share (from windows 10 and another Linux VM) :
Code:
kernel BUG at fs/ext4/xattr.c:2071!
kernel: [ 269.718574] invalid opcode: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP NOPTI

Going back to kernel Linux 5.10.0-14-amd64 resolve all the problems.

Can this be related to incompatibility between Proxmox and Kernel 5.16?

What are the properties of a VM? (qm config ID)
Most interesting CPU, type, cores/socket, NUMA, maybe extraflags

Maybe Proxmox writes something interesting in the logs?
Is everything clean in the PVE console? (only login screen?)

Nothing in the syslog at the error time in OpenMediavault. There's nothing in the PVE console.

change host to default, remove extra flags
net0 - change e1000 to virtio

I'll keep the e1000 because of 10Gb network. The last time I tried Virtio, it does not manage this speed.
