[SOLVED] Proxmox 7.0-13 live migration failed

I'm running a test cluster with 3 nodes using ceph rbd as the storage. I set up a simple debian 11 VM to test out live migration but never quite got it working. Below is the error I always get. Any suggestion is greatly appreciated. Offline migration works fine, btw. Thanks.

channel 2: open failed: connect failed: open failed

on a hunch - make sure that ssh between the nodes works - and that there are not modifications to the ssh configuration (client and server and also the public keys in /root/.ssh/authorized_keys)
