Hello,

I am trying to install the Proxmox VE Version 6.4 (my Hardware does not let me install 7.x) and am running into this Problem:

# pveceph install
not implemented ceph version: (?^:^(?:nautilus|octopus)$) at /usr/share/perl5/PVE/CLI/pveceph.pm line 149, <DATA> line 755.

Is this a known Bug? is there a workaround?
I have a 3 Node Setup,
The creation of the Cluster works, the Errors start when I try to install ceph. Sould I install Ceph on all Nodes before joining the cluster?

any help is appreaciated,

kind regards

Tsunami

I would recommend sorting this problem out first, because PVE 6 will be EOL in the end of this month [1].

Maybe your Ceph installation problem then also is gone with PVE 7.

Hi,
I got it to work with many, many! manual service restarts in the end.
I would like to install v7 but my hardware has limitations.
When I start the installation of v7 my screen changes teh resolution to 800x600 and most of the needed screen is missing. Same thing over ilo virtual console. So I have no chance to install v7 from the iso only do it manually and I believe this will lead to a number of problems.
