proxmox 5 host keep crashing

Hello

My promox keep crashing randomly time to time, a hardware test as been done successfully, so the hardware is not in fault.

I checked many logs but I didn't find any trace about the crash, and this is not the first time...
In the syslog while the server is crashed there is some "<0x00>" consecutively until I reboot. I assume this is a NULL character.

I tried to log kernel panic with editing values on /etc/sysctl.conf
kernel.core_pattern = /var/crash/core.%t.%p
kernel.panic=10
kernel.unknown_nmi_panic=1

But after the crash there is no log under /var/crash/

I hope you found a solution to the issue already (sorry for the late answer) - should this still be current:
* Is this a cluster?
* have you enabled HA on that installation?
* please consider setting up a remote syslog server to receive the logs (that usually gives you log-lines which simply don't get synced to disk once a system resets)
* make sure you've enabled persistent journalling on the node
