Hello everyone,

I started with testing of latest proxmox 5.3 version this week and seems like mostly everything works great, exept that I can't find option, which could assign (manually or auto) IP from given predefined pool.
1 bare metal server, pool of 30 real IPs. Standart install, without Openvswitch. KVM only guest instances, installed from ISO.
Maby I'm going wrong way, and you can suggest right direction (i.e. using Cloud-init with openvswitch and qcow images only)?

What do you expect the hypervisor should do? There is - as in any other hypervisor I've seen - no integrated DHCP server that assigns IP addresses to your VMs. You have to assign them manually (for containers in PVE or for VMs inside of your guest operating system) or via Cloud-Init for VMs. The storage type or openvswitch are not involved, so you can use them but it makes no difference with respect to layer 3 networking.
