Hello there fellow Proxmonian,

I am having a problem with 2 new servers. They are Dell R430 servers with a in-board Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme BCM5720 and a Intel I350-T4 card.

The problem is that the links on the Intel I350 between my server and my switch is never coming up once the kernel is loaded. I tried different switches/ports/cables and i have the same problem on my two servers. When i am in the BIOS, the links are up and detected, but like i said, once the Proxmox kernel is booted, i see the link going down and not flashing anymore.

I tried with Proxmox 3.4 fully patched and driver igb 5.3.3. Tried with Proxmox 4.0 too. I tried driver igb 5.2.18-k too.

I really think that the problem is coming from the installation but i don't know what to modify to make it work. My card is being detected but nothing works.

OMG, worst day of my life..

Seems that the interfaces didn't come up automaticly. So i did the most basic command i could ever do.

ifconfig ethX up

And it works.

I'm so ashamed. Bye

No worries, we've all been there before.

Actually NO, anyone would have thought of that before posting !

Have a nice day.
