Hi, why the users get the same message on login as the admin?
the message You do not have a valid subscription for this server. Please visit www.proxmox.com to get a list of available options is for admin not or users?

if we buy one community Subscription, and we have a serverfarm with 12 servers. come the message more or not and is deactivated?

regards

Not that I support not paying for proxmox - we will buy a community license on each node to support proxmox.

We only give one node's IP to let users log in. (We have a specific node that doesn't run any servers) - its just a management node. If you buy 1 license, technically that won't have a popup even thought you don't have subscription for the rest - short term solution but you still can't get udpates on your other servers

this is just so you get rid of the popup

I'm just wandering, why people care about users complaining about this pop-up, as non-business users won't do that (typically)
Do you guys sell services based on proxmox with its web-interface as-is ? Come on, it is not made for that at all. It is more for enterprise servers consolidating.
informantYou will need licenses for every node you run. Otherwise you will get different software packages for nodes with and without license. Check the wiki about recent changes IF you will use paid repository. If not, that message will go away only on the node you install the license, as ejc317 said.

thanks for answering, we thik, this message should only come in the admin login, not for customers, because they are not able to buy the license anyway/install it.

thanks for many answers. regards

gotta agree with this (again). proxmox was not designed for VM resellers. its a cost-efficient, better-than-vmware package to consolidate your datacenter hardware requirements, not a money generator :/
