Proxmox 1.9 USB cd-rom

I tried installing Proxmox 1.9 today but as this servers has no cd player onboard or even room for it I used an USB cd player but whenever I boot from the usb player everything is fine. But when I want to start the installation it just says: Searching for cdrom... No cdrom found - unable to continu How can I get it to use the usb cd player to install it?

I used that method by in a slightly different way as my server was located in a datacenter. Used a bit of the second hard drive to load up the iso.
