Hello,

I will Install Proxmox 1.9 on a new raid 10 array.
My system:
MB: Supermicro X7DCA-3
CPU: XEON E5420
Controller: Adaptec 3405
HDD: 4x Seagate Constellation ES 1TB
RAM: 16 GB

If I boot from the proxmox installation boot CD, I can see the first boot screen but without the boot command prompt
in the same instant the system hangs
and the keyboard is dead ...
For testing, I have installed Debian squeeze, which works.

I think there must be a BIOS setting be the Proxmox not tolerate?

regards,
proxmox

strange, check if the CD is fine. is 2.0 working?

Okay,
the check with the SeaTools say everything is okay, also the Raid Controller
verify results in "optimal" (24h later ;-)
The problem remains as the beginning

With the USB Stick the installation works.
One more questions:
Is there a way, when I install via USB stick, to added the boot parameter
Code:
maxroot=20 and swapsize=4
??
