Proxmox 1.8 install problem

Hi all

Trying to install Proxmox to server with Intel SASMF8I RAID controller, but system can not see any hard drives, i have 3 hardrives, 2 in RAID1 + 1 separate for backups
I can see only sda - 3 GB, but it not my hardrive

Any ideas?

this is a host raid (fakeraid) controller, not supported. go for a real hardware raid controller.

Is it possible to install Proxmox on this controller, may be install clean Debian first and after Proxmox?

you can disable the host raid option in your bios and install on a simple hard disk.

But i cant connect SAS HDD to my mainboard only over controller

probably a new megaraid_sas driver can help. the upcoming 1.9 ISO image got a new driver included.

can you test if this live cd can see the raid volume?

No luck, I can't see any of my SAS drives

as already stated, you need to buy a real raid controller which is supported on Proxmox VE.
