Hi all, I have Proxmox running on an Epyc ROME platform and using it as my Workstation with a Gnome Desktop rendered by an AMD RX 5700 XT. It has been rock solid even compared to the prior Debian Trixie installation.

I would like to install Proton VPN but thought it might break Proxmox networking or at least interfere with it. Can anyone advise? Thanks.

On a VM it works running it myself on a Debian 12 Gnome setup. On Proxmox itsel technically possible but I don't see the use case if it is to put the node behind a VPN you could also consider setting up protonvpn on your router since it supports wireguard and openvpn aswell.

Thanks. Clearly best to keep the host as pure as possible which has been my thinking.

Interesting that Gnome doesn't surface any network detail in the System > Network configuration panel which indicates just how customized the underlying Proxmox network is.

Perhaps there is a Wireguard solution native to Proxmox. Being able to split tunnel for different apps is desirable. Cheers.
