Hi,
I have a freshly installed Proxmox 8.3 server.
My system is equipped with 8x RTX 6000 ADA GPUs and 2x EPYC 7443 processors.
I created a Linux VM, and without any GPUs assigned, it boots normally within a few seconds. However, when I assign a GPU to the VM, the boot process takes 6-10 minutes.
During this time, the Proxmox web interface becomes unresponsive, and the VNC proxy times out. About 3-4 minutes after starting, the Proxmox boot screen appears, and then it takes another 6-7 minutes for the VM to fully boot.
I have tried multiple approaches, including:
Despite these attempts, I haven't been able to pinpoint the issue. Interestingly, our RTX 4000 ADA systems work perfectly fine with Proxmox.
Do you have any suggestions on what else I could try?
Best regards,
Moritz

I have tried multiple approaches, including:
- Different Linux distributions
- Various PCI passthrough settings (ROM Bar, PCI, direct mapping, and datacenter mapping)
- Changing the display mode on the GPUs
Despite these attempts, I haven't been able to pinpoint the issue. Interestingly, our RTX 4000 ADA systems work perfectly fine with Proxmox.
