problem with keyboard in VM console

Need some help here, please. I have just installed a 3 node cluster , version is PVE 6 - it's all working fine so far.

I have this issue with my VM console, when I can use the keyboard at all. for example, I press 'r' - I get a space ( as if I have pressed the spacebar in my keyboard ). in "datacenter", keyboard is set to English USA.

what I am doing wrong here? I have 3 VM's in this cluster, all of them are showing the same behavior in the VM console. I can ssh to VM's just fine, no issues.

The keyboard configuration inside the VMs should be identical to those of both host and the machine where the web client runs.
