I have recently noticed that my nodes with proxmox are using an excessive amount of RAM >90% when I have about 50% of the total server memory allocated.I have tried to free the cache memory, however this has had no effect and when the memory is completely saturated, the virtual machines are affected since they begin to shut down. Has anyone had a similar problem?

Are you using ZFS, which will use upto 50% of the memory (counted as used instead of cache) unless you limit it (see the manual)?
The formula to recalculate memory usage speaks of a storage pool, I understand that this pool is local, however I have a ceph cluster, should I also consider this storage for the memory calculation?
