When trying to upgrade to 4.2 using the "no-subscription" repository I get this error:

root@pve:~# apt dist-upgrade -y

I made sure all VMs were stopped before attempting the upgrade, the subscription repository is also disabled (I don't have a key for this install yet).

Is anyone getting the same? I am not familiar enough with Spice to debug this right away and I thought I'd ask first here. I'll share my findings here when I get around to digging further into this.
