Problem to add Proxmox Backup Server to Cluster

Following error message appears:

create storage failed: backup: error fetching datastores - 500 Can't connect to xxxx:8007 (500)

Any idea? Thanks in advance.

Since it's a network connection, check the firewall.

Then, the most common reason for "weird errors" like that is an error in the filesystem. Check with fsck for errors.

@omgs thanks so far. On firewall side i can not find any issue. Ping and traceroute works fine, routing works also. do you mean fsck check on backup server or pve site?

Is there a typo? /dev/sdb isn't a filesystem. Any way, you have to umount or run in single mode to check the filesystem.

Apart from basic connection, I meant the if the port is open for connection. Did you check that?

there is no typo its external mount storage of a cloud server.
