Problem adding node to the cluster.

Hello everyone.

This have happened multiple times with different installations.
Right now I tried to add a new node to my 2 node cluster.
The new node is brand new installation on a mini pc.
I add the cluster join information and I get the following log on the Task:

Establishing API connection with host '192.168.0.4'
Login succeeded.
check cluster join API version
No cluster network links passed explicitly, fallback to local node IP '192.168.0.3'
Request addition of this node
Join request OK, finishing setup locally
stopping pve-cluster service

The task never ends. and I loose access to the note via browser.

On the cluster, when I try to access the new node I get:
Connection failed (Error 500: hostname lookup 'melchior' failed - failed to get address info for: melchior: Name or service not known)

I'm running DHCP from a stock tplink router, with fixed IPs for all the nodes. (gonna upgrade to pfsense later)

Anyone have any idea of whats hapenning?

Did you update the host file where you define the hostnames? (under system/hosts)

192.168.0.4 xxx.yyy.sss melchior

etc

I just added the 3 nodes to all 3 hosts and it got better. Now the new node shows as online on the cluster.
But I get a "Connection refused (595)" message when accessing it.

I countered the same issue, and I have added the host names in this path /etc/hosts

Also the cluster is now in the central node, and cannot be removed. Also 2nd node not accessple in the GUI
