Problem adding 3rd node to cluster

I have a 2 node Proxmox cluster that I'm trying to add a 3rd node to. The third node has Proxmox installed and has been added to the cluster via command using pvecm add. When adding it got stuck on "waiting for quorum..." so I did some digging and a decent number of people said to enable multicast. So I did on all 3 nodes using this: https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Multicast_notes#Linux:_Enabling_Multicast_querier_on_bridges. Whether it was rebooting or multicast it got added, but is now throwing "communication error (0)" and "connection error (596)" in the web gui and now I'm at loss because everyone seems to have fixed that by enabling multicast or it was caused by something not in my setup.

Also, since adding the third node my cluster is no longer accessible outside of the local network despite the proper ports being forwarded and nothing else changing except the third node being added. I tried disabling multicast to fix this, but it didn't change anything.

Any solutions to either of these problems? I'm happy to provide whatever is needed to help.

Accessing the Proxmox GUI outside of the local network seems to have been resolved after physically disconnecting the nodes from the networking gear. I'm not sure how physically disconnecting them had more of an impact that rebooting the networking gear, but hey I'll take it. However, the new node still doesn't display any info.
