Hi. I'm currently testing PMG on OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure).
I installed Debian 11, configured all required repositories and successfully installed PMG, certificates, etc. Everything running smoothly, filtering inbound and outbound e-mails.
I decided to simulate a backup recovery to see if everything would still work in the case of a disaster (for exemple an unsuccessful update). To simulate such event, I did a backup of the running system (to be clear, the backup of the hard disk), then I deleted the running instance/VM and built a new one using the backup.
The new VM is running, I can access it using SSH and e-mails are getting in and out, that means PMG is working. But the web interface is not accessible. I cannot access it either using the FQDN or the IP.
Maybe this issue has something to do with the internal IP... As you probably already now, all virtual machines that run on cloud services use a internal IP (for example 10.0.0.150) and we attach a public IP for public access. While we can reserve a public IP so it never changes, the internal IP is random and not editable. Everytime a new VM is created, and internal IP will be different.
Does PMG use the internal IP (the IP on the network interface) during the installation? Maybe the web interface is somehow attached to the previous internal IP... if so, how do I fix?
Or maybe the problem is something else... any help is greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Rafael
