Hello all,

I tried to install a new server (Nethserver 8) using a qow image. I was able to download it, import it to Proxmox and attached it to my VM. When booting my VM, the HDD is used but I get the following message at startup :

probing EDD (edd=off to disable) ... ok

so i booted my vm again and press the 'e' key to get the grub starting lines and tried to add the edd=off but I dont know exactly where :

so I tried at 2 different places :

load_video
set gfxpayload=keep
insmod gzio
linux ($root)/vmlinuz-5.14...... edd=off
initrd ($root)/inittramfs-5.14.0.362.18.1.e19_3.0.1.x86_64.img
edd=off

but none of them worked, still having this message. Does anynone has an idea howto solve that ?
Thanks to all for your help

I just encounter this same messages again, in my case, this is due to CentOS 6.x filesystem corruption, and need to run fsck command manually. So, I change this VM Display to "Serial terminal 0", and then reboot, then I can see the more console message, and input the root password to into the shell, and then run the fsck to fix the filesystem. After I fixed the filesyste, this VM reboot successfully.

Hi, the same thing is happening to me and I can't log in to retrieve the information. I'm not a Proxmox administrator, and where the VM is located, how can I set Serial Terminal 0? I do have VNC access.

Thanks in advance!
