I have a Proxmox server that has been running for months with a virtual PFsense firewall. The firewall VM has 3 virtual NIC's allocated to it. A primary and secondary WAN and the LAN adapter. Today after a reboot, both virtual WAN adapters stopped getting addresses assigned to them. I at first though my internet was down, so I moved my internet router directly to my laptop and it works fine. I rebooted the cable modem after attaching it back to the proxmox chassis.

Inside the vm, I can see traffic on the pfsense traffic graph for the WAN adapter. Disconnecting the cable modem stops that traffic so I know everything is mapped correctly, but just so people can help better, this is the way things are assigned...

Proxmox chassis physical NIC eno1 is assigned to the bridge vmbr2. In the pfsense virtual machine net2 is the one on vmbr3. The cable modem used to give this NIC a live internet address since my cable modem is in bridge mode with DHCP but it stopped working after this mornings reboot. The reboot this morning was a power outage, so no configs were changed between when it worked and when it stopped.

In the proxmox config, I have turned off firewall and it made no difference.
