Hi,

I've recently been able to create and launch a windows virtual machine on a laptop (host and guest is the same computer). To access the proxmox GUI from the internet I had to launch the debian/proxmox GUI (I followed this tutoriel) but I can't prevent debian from sleeping (after I leave my computer for several minutes). Even when I'm on my virtual machine it's still going to sleep.
Is there a way to keep that from happening? I tried to change the windows parameters on the vm but my screen ended up not working at all.

Thank you in advance

what do you mean with that?
as long as your machine is connected to the network and the PVE services are running you should be able to access the web GUI.

check the XFCE power manager (in the settings)

What desktop environment you are using on your debian? There are usually some config files you can edit to prevent account locking or sleep/hibernation.

Well as i'm running proxmox and the vm on the same hardware i had to access the internet though the installed proxmox/debian (don't know if that makes sense). But here is a picture of the host machine

I searched in the xfce settings (on the proxmox/debian GUI) but couldn't find anything about power manager, do you have more specifications please?

Thank you very much for your fast answer.

just start a terminal and run xfce4-power-manager-settings

Sorry, it seems the command does not exist. Is it something I should install? And if so, can you please tell me how?

Thank you again

Oh sorry, I didn't see you reply. Well I think its xfce4, but I'm not sure. Here is a picture:

I did enter the code apt install xfce4 chromium lightdm sudo -y in the terminal so it should be it.

Thank you

Did you try xfce4-power-manager -c? There should also be a "Power manager settings…" icon in the system tray.

Well in fact I solved the problem I had to install this feature with apt-get install xfce4-power-manager and it works perfectly
Thank you all very much
