Hello everyone,
I am currently facing an issue with my setup, and I'm hoping someone can provide some guidance. Here's the situation:
I have a PC with a 256 GB hard drive (Drive 1) and a 1 terabyte hard drive (Drive 2). Drive 1 is running Proxmox, while Drive 2 is intended for virtual machines and Proxmox containers.
I installed Ubuntu 22.04 LTS as a container (CT) on Drive 1 and subsequently installed Docker and Portainer. After the Portainer installation, I created a snapshot. However, I encountered a problem during the installation of a Docker image, which resulted in a failed installation.
To resolve this issue, I restored the snapshot I created earlier. However, despite the restoration, the log in Portainer and under /var/log/ is still present.
I initially believed that all files not present at the time of creating the ZFS snapshot would be lost upon restoring it. However, the log files seem to persist.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to address this situation? I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or insights.
Thank you in advance!
