Searched forums a bit - and I still am, but not finding a solution, just other mentions of the same or similar issues.
Summary: Gigabit NIC, copying using Samba from a Windows PC to a Samba server in a VM (Vm running TrueNAS). Speeds goes from ~95mb/sec down to ~1k/sec back and forth. It should go ~95mb/sec consistently.
I'm copying ~20gb, should take less than 10 minutes... but it's taking 20-30 minutes due to constant speed drops.
In dmesg I see this on the PVE host
