PMG together with PBS

I am wondering since I can’t seem to find it, I have a machine that I use for Proxmox backup. The question is if I can add Proxmox Mail Gateway onto that server as a fallback option, if that’s 1. “Supported” and 2. A know configuration.

I would be happy to hear the answers to this question.

In theory this should be possible - but TBH I've never tried it myself.
In general, I'd still recommend to separate them - you could for example install PVE along your PBS (this is a combination which is tested) - and install PMG inside a container.
A mail-proxy is exposed to the internet - keeping your backup-data on such a machine might not be considered best-practice in many environments.
