Greetings,
I have just installed PMG, but when i forwarded my 25port to PMG in my router.
My mailserver received the mail but with header Sender-Host: PMG-IP

Can i forward the IP of the source who is sending the mail? Rewrite header source IP?

Thank you

EDIT:
Or i should just forgot about watching logs on email server and focus on PMG only?

EDIT2:
The thing is when somebody is trying to login through port 25, mail server sees it as from local IP PMG, so it can ban it if somebody will try bruteforce.

haven't needed this myself - but check the xforward howto of postfix if you indeed want this functionality - that should provide a starting point:
http://www.postfix.org/XFORWARD_README.html

PMG does not in its default config try to authenticate to your downstream server as explained in:
https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/where-are-the-failed-logins.96853/#post-419758

So I'm not sure if it's an issue with PMG - or maybe your portforwards do have a different problem

I hope this helps!

Thank you for postfix, will check it.
Regarding smtp auth, i tryed telnet it gave me response but i didn't spend much time trying to authenticate. But if you are saying in my previous post that its not possible, than its fine. Thank you

Hello @das1996,
have you found a solution?

I have the same problem. I still have an RSPAMD filter after the Proxmox MailGateway. However, this marks all mails as SPAM because the mails originate from the IP address of the Proxmox mail server in its view. I am therefore looking for a way to forward the incoming e-mails to the mail server with their original source IP address.
